Below are the learning objectives for activities I designed and reflect ethical practices of technology usage and apply research to support learning in a technology-enhanced environment. The learning activities continue on the following pages.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Given a computer with internet access, eighth grade Social Studies students will be able to successfully evaluate websites using the 5 W's of Website Evaluation and will receive a score of 80% or higher on the online Assessment.
Students will use a computer with Internet access to research what it is to be a global citizen and will create a mind mapping tool to draw connections between global citizenship and individual action that taken on a local, national, and global.
The eight grade Social Studies students will use a computer with Internet access to create a pamphlet using Microsoft Word, to describes their vision as a global citizen in a local/global manner, and will present to classmates and parents using Periscope to broadcast.
