Introduction:
This lesson provides students with an opportunity to learn about the four layers of the rainforests and the habitat within the different layers, utilizing emerging instructional technologies and strategies to support the needs of all learners.
A needs assessment will be given and collected through GoogleDocs to determine what the learners already know, and what they would like to learn about the rain forest.
The following learning objectives will be accomplished during this lesson:
At the end of this lesson the student will use prior knowledge to name and describe the four layers of the rainforest.
Students will analyze its’ significance by constructing a miniature rain forest and distinguishing features and life forms of the different layers.
The students will demonstrate their knowledge by participating in the game of Jeopardy.
